4. Cavs troll Warriors post blown 3-1 lead

Everyone that pays any attention to sports should remember the famed “block.” LeBron chased down Andre Iguodala and smothered his lay up to keep the Cavs in the game. Arguably the most important play in that incredible Game 7, LeBron’s defensive play set up the eventual game-winner from Kyrie.

This block will undoubtedly live on in the lore of NBA history as it was a huge turning point in the rivalry between these two franchises. The block wasn’t just a play in that Game 7 however, it helped create one of the greatest memes sports has seen.

Similar to how “dabbing” and the crying Michael Jordan face took the internet by storm, the Warriors blowing a 3-1 lead blew up overnight. The memes coming from this series seemed to never end. People applied them to anything and everything. As if the internet trolling the Warriors wasn’t enough, LeBron and the Cavs joined in on it.

The Cavs put up a portrait of the block in the visiting locker room, just in time for the Christmas Day game against the Warriors. They even went as far as to photoshop in the championship ring on LeBron’s left hand.

Prior to this slight jab, LeBron threw a Halloween party with some 3-1 lead themed decorations. There were tombstone cookies with the Warriors’ players names on them. Not to mention the bass drum with the caption “3-1 lead” inscribed on it. This trolling only added to the animosity of the rivalry.
