4. Mangini needs to pick up all of Darrell Bevell’s future bar tabs

Would Bill Belichick only have four rings if Darrell Bevell and Pete Carroll decided to run the ball with Marshawn Lynch instead of throw it? We all know how that ended. Russell Wilson stepped back and threw it. Malcolm Butler stepped in and picked off the pass, and the rest was history.

Tom Brady celebrated on the sideline, confetti came down and the Patriots were champions again. Buuuuut wait one second. What if the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator, Darrell Bevell, decided to run it with Marshawn Lynch? Lynch would’ve taken the ball from the 1-yard line to the end-zone. The Seahawks would’ve taken the lead and the Patriots wouldn’t have had the chance to come back.

So where does Eric Mangini come into this picture? Well, Bill Belichick should be extremely thankful for Darrell Bevell’s playcall and also Malcolm Butler’s play. Butler’s going to be rewarded with a huge contract. Bevell should also got rewarded for his part in the play.

As a result, Belichick should get Mangini to pay for all of Darrell Bevell’s future bar tabs anywhere he goes. This way Belichick can thank Bevell for his part in their fourth ring, without having to actually pay for it.

Mangini can also start to feel like he’s repairing his relationship with Belichick, even though it’ll put a sizable dent in his wallet.
