Exclusives that are blasts from the past but also work as just plain cool toys in the present are always the best kinds.

While we don’t have many staffers here at FanSided old enough to remember toys from the ’80s, the ones who were around for the classic cartoon and toy lines of the time definitely recall the big G.I. Joe playsets of the era. One of those was the Cobra Missile Command Headquarters Set, where Cobra Commander and company plotted to rain down destruction on wherever they wanted to target next.

A faithful recreation of that classic playset was revealed this week as one of the Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con 2017 exclusives. Just like the original from 1982, the  G.I. Joe Cobra Missile Command Headquarters features a weathered finish and follows the original die-lines but sports all new graphics. It’s made of sturdy graphic board, and once assembled, the set includes a movable cruise missile and elevator and lots more fun details.

Three G.I. Joe action figures are also packed in with the set, led by Cobra Commander (naturally) who is accompanied by a Cobra Officer and a Cobra Trooper. These three are enough to start the battle with your G.I. Joe forces all on their own, and they come with file cards, a holder for those cards and individual stands.

Even the box the set comes in appears to have been beaten up a bit, which gives it an appropriately vintage feel.
