3. Danilo Gallinari, SF/PF, Denver Nuggets

This may be a long shot but Danilo Gallinari would be a great addition in Minnesota.  Their front office has voiced their desire to for more shooting and are willing to part ways with Ricky Rubio, for more shooting per reports of Marc Stein of ESPN.

Gallinari would give the Timberwolves immediate shooting and scoring in the front court. He is a 6-foot-10 hybrid forward who can spot up and shoot the lights out and as well put the ball on the floor and create his own shot. Gallinari averaged 18.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, shooting 38 percent from downtown. He finished the season ranked 12th in true shooting percentage, he would give Minnesota the court spacing needed to let their big 3 go to work.

This pick up won’t help them much on the defensive end or in rebounding but his offensive upside and shooting will compensate for those things. Minnesota has to add more shooting to this roster if they want to contend for the playoffs. Zach LaVine was Minnesota’ best threat from deep but now he’s a member of the Chicago Bulls. Shedding Rubio as a way to get Gallinari would help quite a bit.
