1. J.J. Redick, SG, Los Angeles Clippers

The Timberwolves are in dire need of more shooting. What better way to go than to add the best shooter available this offseason? Last season Redick averaged 15 point and shot 43 percent from the 3-point line. Redick is 32-years-old but he is still an elite level shooter, who can start thanks to his great work ethic and discipline.

Redick hit nearly 2.6 3-pointers per game last season, which would be a major upgrade in Minnesota. Zach LaVine was the team’s best shooter and he was streaky before being dealt for Jimmy Butler. With him gone there are limited options to help out with perimeter spacing.

Redick is also an underrated defender. He won’t make any All-Defensive teams but he is more than capable of holding his own on defense. He is a smart passer and one of the game’s best at running off screens to create open looks for himself.

Redick isn’t a big splash signing but he is exactly what Minnesota needs — a veteran shooter who can space the floor and take a lot of pressure off of their budding big three. Redick is best suited for a sniper bench role and that fits perfectly for the Timberwolves.
