Paul Millsap signs with Nuggets: 5 biggest questions we have

2. Monitor the market for Danilo Gallinari
Denver would love to have the Danil Gallinari back but they have some competition for his services. The reports are that the L.A. Clippers are enamored with adding the Italian Stallion to pair with new max player Blake Griffin. Signing Galo, however, is a major risk.
Gallinari, 28, opted out of his player option to his unrestricted free agency this summer. The downside to giving the Italian a multi-year deal is he is injury prone. Gallinari has played more than 64 games in a season just twice in his NBA career. If that doesn’t spell out red flag, I don’t know what does. With a potential $20 million-plus offer on the table, it’s unclear how far Denver is willing to go to keep him.
There is some major upside here, however. At 6-foot-10, he becomes extremely tough to guard with the ability to play multiple positions. Making the long-term investment in this Galo is a sign that he can improve on his 2016-2017 regular season numbers of 18.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. He also was a productive sharpshooter from 3-point range cashing in on 38.9 percent of his shot attempts. Gallinari is the biggest fish remaining from the Carmelo Anthony trade that has actually set up Denver fairly well compared to the mess in New York.
