Joey Logano

Joey Logano always looks like he might be up to something. Or maybe he’s just having that good of a time. Or both. But Logano would definitely be an interesting pick as a getaway driver.

The No. 2 Team Penske driver is a Daytona 500 winner and the youngest race winner in the history of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. He’s also a 2017 race winner, although that Richmond win was encumbered by NASCAR after Logano’s car significantly failed technical inspection, but you’re committing a crime — since when have you cared about technicalities? You’re looking for every advantage you can get to keep from being caught.

Besides, Logano has 27 other wins that aren’t encumbered, and was the Cup Series championship runner-up last season, so it’s not as if he was lacking credentials otherwise.

And Logano’s generally happy go lucky attitude is a major plus for this job description. He’d probably have a smile on his face no matter what happened. Something goes terribly wrong in the heist? He wouldn’t be bothered. The car gets a flat tire? He’d laugh it off and keep driving. Nothing would ruffle him or keep him from getting you safely back to your headquarters with all of your new money.

One word of warning: just don’t give him any of your valuable swag to hold onto after the getaway. Logano lost his wedding ring on his honeymoon and almost lost it again at Phoenix. So he’s not great with holding on to priceless items, but as long as he’s just driving, he should be fine.
