The Indians travelled to Oakland after the All-Star break to take on the A’s – owners of the worst record in the American League during the first half. However, the A’s have been good at home this season, and promptly swept Cleveland in three games.

Not even Corey Kluber’s 12 strikeouts in 7.1 innings were enough for Cleveland. Kluber surrendered three runs on five hits, including two home runs Saturday, taking a no-decision in a 5-3 loss. It was the first time since Opening Day Kluber allowed more than one homer in a game.

The Tribe scored just six runs in the three-game set, and allowed the Twins to pick up a game in the standings despite losing two of three during their series in Houston.
