FanDuel daily WNBA fantasy picks: Thursday, July 20
Guards
Allie Quigley – Chicago Sky ($6,200): With everyone still on “cloud 9” over Courtney Vandersloot since the absence of Cappie Pondexter, Allie Quigley has actually been more consistent. While Vandersloot struggled in Chicago’s last outing against Seattle, Quigley amassed a 25 point performance that was most made up of an efficient 6-for-10 from behind the three-point line. Los Angeles gives up a good chunk of their points from beyond the arch and if Quigley can get it going, she will make a fantastic addition to everyone’s fantasy rosters.
Chelsea Gray – Los Angeles Sparks ($5,700): Why Chelsea Gray is priced at $5,700 is beyond me but I’ll take it, especially against Chicago. There really isn’t anything more to say here besides the fact that Chicago is not very good and Gray is underpriced. Pick her up on Thursday.
Alex Montgomery – San Antonio Stars ($4,700): If Kayla McBride is out again Thursday, which will likely be the case, consider giving Alex Montgomery a shot. Indiana is having their struggles defensively this season and Montgomery will pick up the offensive load in the absence of McBride. San Antonio doesn’t have many consistent scoring options so Montgomery will have a chance to see some significant production.
Alana Beard – Los Angeles Sparks ($4,600): The defensively sound Alana Beard leads the league in steals and could be in line for a solid game against a Chicago team that is very sloppy at times. Beard is a good cost efficient option if you are looking to save some cash. She should be in store for a good game on Thursday.
Briann January – Indiana Fever ($4,400): With Shenise Johnson out of the equation for the rest of the season, Briann January has stepped up to the plate. January should have a productive outing against San Antonio and can save you some cap space if you are looking to spend up on the big names on Thursday.
