Taking a look at when WWE SummerSlam 2017 will be taking place as the second Big 4 pay-per-view show of the year in the company

There is nothing quite like one of the “Big 4” pay-per-views in WWE. However, pro wrestling fans have been waiting since early April for the next, and it’s frankly been a long wait to this point. The good new, though, is that the wait is almost over. WWE SummerSlam 2017 is right around the corner and is ready to deliver the goods.

Live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, WWE SummerSlam is one of the yearly events that you just simply can’t afford to miss. While WrestleMania is almost always about getting big stars, may people few the summer spectacular as more of a fan-service event. It’s where all of the favorites are put in “dream-match” type scenarios, sprinkled in with some big draws of course.

This year should be no different. In fact, WWE SummerSlam 2017 could be better than most years. When you look at the immense talent in the company right now, it’s hard to not put on a good show. Obviously you have big draws like Brock Lesnar, John Cena and so on. However, the likes of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens and many more are among the best overall wrestlers in the world.

When you have both RAW and SmackDown Live contributing, this should be a can’t-miss show. It always is, but the talent level makes that even more of the case this year. Thus, you will want to be ready when it comes around. So then, when will WWE SummerSlam 2017 take place?

WWE SummerSlam 2017 is set to take over Barclays Center on Sunday, Aug. 20. What’s more, there will be an NXT: TakeOver event that weekend as well, most likely on Aug. 19. This should all be must-watch stuff for pro wrestling fans.
