Ousmane Dembele

Continuing the trend of wonderkids, another name that Arsenal could pursue if Sanchez is to leave is that of Dortmund wonderkid Ousmane Dembele. Dembele could fill the attacking midfield role left by Sanchez, and possibly even fill in at other positions when necessary.

Dembele impressed many around the world last season with his versatility. And even though he played multiple positions, he excelled at almost all of them. Spending most of his time at central attacking midfield, Dembele also filled in as a right forward, a true center midfielder, a left midfielder, a center forward, a right midfielder and even a defensive midfielder.

That kind of versatility from a young player screams potential. The fact that he was able to play in all of these positions effectively should have Wenger drooling over him. It’s no secret Wenger likes to buy young players, and while Dembele would be expensive, he would easily be the cheapest name on this list so far.

Dembele did all of this effectively in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League last season. He made 32 appearances, 10 as a substitute, in the Bundesliga, scoring six goals and adding 12 assists. In his 10 appearances in the Champions League, he had two goals and six assists.

So when taking into account his ability to directly fill the role of Sanchez, his versatility, age and being price, Dembele would be a fantastic option for replacing Sanchez if he is to leave Arsenal.
