4. Tecate

You know what goes good with a historic boxing match? Beer! Well, that isn’t scientifically proven or anything but you get the idea here.

The beer industry has capitalized on the successes of major boxing events for years, with companies like Budweiser and Corona primarily coming to mind. However, there was one company that got in deep with the biggest fight of the year in 2015.

Tecate Beer.

Also known as the “official beer of boxing”, the company has paid to sponsor several boxing events in the last few years, but their biggest payout for a sponsorship came during the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.

Tecate Beer paid an incredible $5.6 million to become the exclusive beer of the event as well as its official sponsor. If you remember the fight, the Tecate logo was plastered on almost every surface possible including the center of the mat and the ring card girls.

Because of the fight’s magnitude, Tecate made an excellent choice in sponsoring the fight that everyone was buzzing about, which only made its name bigger among boxing fans.

Wouldn’t you think they’d want to do this all over again?

Despite being backed by Corona on several occasions, Mayweather may look to explore other options before this fight and Tecate should be a considered company. If they are willing to put up that amount of money for one of his biggest fights to date, the likelihood of them doing it again is astronomically high.
