Atlanta Falcons: Michael Vick

Michael Vick is one of the most entertaining players to ever step foot on a football field, so it’s not surprising that he’d go down as the greatest Atlanta Falcons player in video game history. In fact, he’s arguably the greatest player in Madden franchise history, specifically for his game-breaking ability in Madden NFL 04.

Vick was on the cover of the game during his tenure with the Falcons, and became a big reason for football fans to even buy that year’s edition. Speaking from experience, some of the best moments in the game are just sending your receivers out on a Hail Mary and free roaming the field with Vick out of the shotgun when things open up.

While many clamor about his crazy speed in the game, he actually had a pretty good arm on him, too. In addition to that, he had plenty of weapons to utilize in the passing game, like Brian Finneran, Peerless Price and Alge Crumpler, to dump the ball off to if the field didn’t open up for him to run.

There were a few other years when Vick had some impressive stats and abilities, like with his appearances with the Philadelphia Eagles, but none can match his time with the Falcons before his career went downhill a bit.

It’s impossible to talk about the greatest Madden players of all-time without throwing Vick’s name in the conversation, and he helped make the franchise what it is today with how he was portrayed in 2004.
