Tyquan Lewis

EDGE, Ohio State

Tyquan Lewis is the star of a defensive line full of them. The Ohio State Buckeyes have revolutionized the defensive line spot with this all-defensive end rotation that they’ve been running and it has worked to their advantage.

As a result, Lewis became the Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year for his play last season. He has a National Championship to his name and award-winning pedigree that gives him plenty of clout when it comes to draft stock.

Those award winning numbers end up being eight sacks and 10.5 tackles for a loss on the year. He even forced three fumbles as a result too. He dominated in both phases. With so many weapons on the defensive line, offensive lines have a hard time locking onto just one Buckeye with double teams. Lewis is one they’re forced to.

He can rush the quarterback, but also make big tackles that end up for losses in the run game. Perhaps it’s the competition of so many talented defensive lineman on one roster, but Lewis is the lead dog here and a big reason the Buckeyes could bring home another title this season.
