Mark Price
PG Georgia Tech

Mark Price was certainly not the biggest guy on the court, but he wreaked havoc for opposing defenders. With his slick ball-handling, and his beautiful jump shot, it’s no surprise he is within the top 20 for most career points in the ACC. In his four seasons with the Yellow Jackets, Price had averages of 17.4 points, 4 assists, 1.9 steals, and over 2 3-pointers per game. He was also very efficient from the field and the charity stripe, which made his offensive outputs even more impressive. Price also made sure to set up his teammates, and excelled at running the pick-and-roll, driving to the basket while dishing it out to open teammates.

Concerns surrounding Price fitting in to today’s NBA is obviously his size. Standing at only 6-feet tall, Price is considered to be undersized compared to today’s modern hybrid guards. He is still quick and deceptive enough to be able to get around defenders, as he is very crafty with the ball in his hands. Price also excelled at jumping passing lanes and forcing opposing players into making bad passes. He has the potential to be a great scorer in today’s NBA, where most teams operate at a faster pace. Many undersized players have proven to be successful in the NBA today, and even with that, only a select few possess the type of intangibles  Price can provide on the court. The Price is certainly right.
