Derrick Nnadi

DL, Florida State

All things considered, the Florida State defense, for the most part, had a nice night against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Taking on Alabama is just a tough task for anyone and the fact the Seminoles battled their hearts out on the defensive end really showed the pride in the unit. It starts up front with defensive lineman Derrick Nnadi.

In a position where it can be thankless at times having to eat up blocks and take on things other players might not have to, Nnadi really had a nice outing in his effort against the Crimson Tide. He showed that he is a multi-faceted talent.

Going up against a solid talent like Bradley Bozeman in the trenches is a challenge for anyone that faces Alabama. Instead, Nnadi got a great push with his powerful hands and showed that he can work his way into the backfield as well.

He finished the night with six tackles in the loss but certainly looked the part as one of the best defensive line prospects in the nation. If he keeps playing with that physicality, it’s going to be a big year for the defense.
