Christian Kirk

WR, Texas A&M

Despite the fact they scored 44 points on the night, the Texas A&M Aggies really struggled to pass the ball. Both quarterbacks combined for just nine completions and there really wasn’t much to show through the air for the team.

Of the nine that they did complete, five of them went to star wide receiver Christian Kirk. Working with a revolving door at the quarterback spot, Kirk did his best with what he could and pulled in 60 yards on five receptions.

He had a shot at a touchdown, but a better play was made by the UCLA defensive back. The big takeaway from this game will be that of the epic collapse by the Aggies. That really doesn’t have much to do with how Kirk did on the night.

It was a fine performance with a limited passing game and scouts shouldn’t let that affect how they rank him. He’s going to be a guy with plenty of upside for his ability to use his speed and haul in plenty of receptions.

The Aggies might be a bit shell shocked after this massive upset, but veteran leaders like Kirk are going to have to rally the team and get everyone focused. A good way to turn things around is to get the ball in his hands.
