Dante Booker

OLB, Ohio State

In his first action in a year after coming off an injury, Dante Booker found himself in quite the game on Thursday night. The Indiana Hoosiers challenged the Ohio State Buckeyes early and it looked like an upset could be brewing in Bloomington.

His stats don’t jump off the page in his first night of action, but he showed some good things on the field. Booker finished the night with four tackles and had some nice flashes of speed against some receivers as well.

For Booker, it’s going to take some time to get back to that hype that he came in with. Right now, it’s about staying healthy and continuing to make plays. He’s going to be an interesting name to follow throughout the season.

If he can break out and be the player that he is expected to be, he should climb back up the draft boards. If not, then he’s likely going to be that prototype first-round talent that ends up sliding in the draft.

Right now, it’s a good start and he’ll have an even bigger test against Oklahoma next. If he can make some big plays there, then it will be an indicator of where he is as a player right now for the Buckeyes.
