9. Phillip Dorsett

It’ll be likely that Chris Hogan and Rex Burkhead have already been snapped up in your leagues. If they haven’t, go and secure one as we simply attempt to figure out what’s next for the New England offense after losing Julian Edelman for the year. But Dorsett is the wildcard.

Too often, I hear folks saying they want “no part” of the New England offense as it’s “too hard to figure out”, but figuring out is exactly what we need to do! And that’ll happen as we see the action unfold, not before it’s started.

With Tom Brady at the helm, there are always outstanding fantasy options around him. When Rob Gronkowski plays, he’s likely to be the best producer. Now Brandin Cooks is in the building, what will his role be? I look for him to get the second-largest slice of the pie. But after them, who is next? Hogan and Burkhead are options. What about a strong rushing attack? Mike Gillislee, James White and Dion Lewis could all stake their claims for more work.

Dorsett never reached his first-round potential in Indianapolis, but he’s got more of a chance to do it in New England, where they will cater an offense to their personnel. He’s certainly not a sure thing, but the end of your bench is where you take risks.
