Wide Receiver

Best Value: Michael Crabtree $6000

Crabtree is the number two option in Oakland. As it has already been pointed out, the Oakland and Tennessee game has Vegas’ highest over/under total and is expected to be a shoot-out. Both Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree should be in for big weeks against a revamped Tennessee secondary.

The Titans ranked 27th in DVOA against the pass last season, and against team’s second options they sat at 30th. Crabtree will be matching up with first round rookie CB Adoree’ Jackson or last year’s fifth round pick LeShaun Sims. This is assuming the Titans use newly acquired CB Logan Ryan to shadow Amari Cooper.

Crabtree and QB Derek Carr have vibed ever since the two united in Oakland. Crabtree has finished as a top-15 fantasy WR in each of the two years he’s been there.

Runner-up: Pierre Garcon $5300

The highly paid free agent came to San Francisco as the new number one option for the passing attack and reunites with former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. The new duo get the Carolina Panthers in week one.

Carolina finished 24th in team DVOA against opposing WR1s last year. They did little to improve their secondary in the offseason. The 49ers will likely be playing catch-up most of the game after entering it as underdogs by almost a touchdown.

Garcon and new QB Brian Hoyer will have to throw the ball a bunch as the game winds down. This leads for plenty of opportunity for points and scores against the weak secondary. At a price tag of only $5300 Garcon is a major value.
