Point guards

Let the debate begin. The reigning league MVP slightly edges out one of the best players on the defending NBA Finals champions’ team for the top spot at this position. Further down the rankings, there is more room for conversation about whether certain players should rank above or below each other.

  1. Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder, 95 – Rated at least 90 in a crazy 14 different individual skills including an insane 98 Stamina, Westbrook is the quintessential all-around talent in the game.
  2. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors, 94 – With 96 3-Point Shooting and Dribbling marks, there is no reason not to run the offense through Curry when playing with the Warriors.
  3. Kyrie Irving, Boston Celtics, 93 – Boston’s new point man arguably has the best handles in the game with a 98 Dribbling, and he won’t be the last of the Celtics to appear on these lists.
  4. John Wall, Washington Wizards, 92 – A near-perfect 99 Speed rating falls in among 10 other individual skills in which Wall is rated at least 90.
  5. Chris Paul, Houston Rockets, 92 – Paul isn’t as highly rated in as many categories as Wall, but he is the next best thing for gamers who prefer a Western Conference team.
  6. Isaiah Thomas, Cleveland Cavaliers, 91 – Gamers don’t have to worry about his bad hip, as the electronic version of Thomas is ready to go now. His 95 Speed more than makes up for what he lacks in size.
  7. Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers, 90 – Closing out the short list of point guards rated in the 90s, Lillard’s 95 Stamina means he can stay on the court without fatigue almost as long as gamers like.
  8. Kemba Walker, Charlotte Hornets, 89 – Often overlooked in conversations about play on the real court, it would be foolish for opponents to overlook Walker in the game thanks to a 94 Speed rating.
  9. Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors, 88 – Second only to Westbrook on this list in terms of Stamina at 97, Lowry is a huge reason why the Raptors are a team that gamers will enjoy.
  10. Michael Conley, Memphis Grizzlies, 87 – His reputation for beguiling opposing offenses has earned him a 93 On-Ball Defense rating, making him an attractive piece of Grind City.
