Ty Montgomery, the converted wide receiver, and now lead back for the Packers will eat against a Falcons defense that simply could not contain Tarik Cohen.

Montgomery still wears a wide receiver number. That’s appropriate for this upcoming matchup against the Atlanta Falcons because he will do his damage as a receiver.

Green Bay gave Montgomery all he could handle in Week 1 against the tough Seattle Seahawks front. He led the team in rushes, only allowing another back to get two carries. He was also on the field for 90 percent of Green Bay’s offensive snaps.

The game against the Falcons features two high-scoring offenses which should lead to fantasy points aplenty. Montgomery gets a Falcons defense that has given up the most receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns to running backs since last year. Aaron Rodgers will of course be throwing all over the field but Montgomery could be in for a massive workload.

When these two teams met in the NFC championship last year Montgomery and the entire Packers offense struggled. That makes Montgomery an interesting addition to daily fantasy with a cheaper price tag and PPR status cemented.
