FanDuel NFL: Best Week 2 Lineup
Tight End: Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles-$6,100
The preseason buzz around Ertz bore some fruit in Week 1, as he caught all eight of his targets for 93 yards against the Washington Redskins. He clearly has the attention of Carson Wentz, and a Week 2 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs does not look as daunting as it would have entering the season.
As it was last week with Redskins’ corner Josh Norman, Eagles’ wide receiver Alshon Jeffery should draw Chiefs’ No.1 cornerback Marcus Peters throughout Sunday’s game. And with All-Pro safety Eric Berry out, the middle of the field will not be nearly as stoutly defended by Kansas City’s secondary. That’s Ertz’s territory, and he’s a physical mismatch for potential Berry replacements Daniel Sorensen and Eric Murray.
Ertz should have ample room to operate, and he and Wentz appear to have rapport right out of the gate this year. This time around for Week 2, I’m picking a tight end toward the top of the FanDuel market with a safe production floor as well as some nice upside.
