8. Rex Burkhead

The New England Patriots are depleted on offense because of injuries. The New Orleans Saints are depleted on defense due to lack of talent. It’s gearing up for an offensive explosion when Tom Brady meets Drew Brees, and a ton of players could get in on the action.

Julian Edelman was Brady’s go-to guy. When he went down, Danny Amendola fit right in and became the go-to guy in the opener. Now, New England needs another player to step up and fill the role. Mike Giardi of CSN New England believes Burkhead is the logical choice to take snaps in the slot as his replacement.

I think we are all very well aware of how bad this New Orleans defense has been in the past, and they didn’t show any signs of improvement on Monday Night as the Minnesota Vikings and Sam Bradford ripped them to shreds though the air, and Dalvin Cook piled up the yards on the ground. Who to start and sit for New England is almost always unpredictable, but you’ll want to have a piece or two in your teams for this matchup. Burkhead could see an increased role, so plug him into your flex spots if you’re needing help.
