3. Jack Doyle vs. Cleveland Browns

Jack Doyle impressed in Week 2 against the Cardinals. He is still getting used to new quarterback Jacoby Brissett as the team’s safety blanket.

This week the Colts and Browns play in a game that most will simply tune out. However, I think this game could hold a bunch of fantasy relevance. The best matchup in that game goes to Jack Doyle.

Doyle, against the Cardinals, went for eight receptions and 79 yards. He is a single target behind T.Y. Hilton for the team’s lead this year. Since Brissett took over he’s looked to Doyle a bunch.

The Colts face the tight end friendly Browns this week. In two games the Browns have struggled to stop opposing tight ends. They surrendered 19 receptions on 22 targets for 162 yards and two touchdowns. The tight ends that they faced were Jesse James and the trio of Ravens’ tight ends including Benjamin Watson. Not exactly the elite tight ends of the NFL. Doyle may not be elite but he has as much talent as any other tight end Cleveland has faced.

As previously stated in the matchup preview for Marlon Mack, the Colts could be trailing early and need to lean on the passing game. If they get in the red zone Doyle should be the go to target. He is the largest pass catcher they have and the young Brissett can rely on the big body as the space tightens.

Cleveland and Indianapolis may be the least watched game of the week but fantasy owners should keep an eye on it. Doyle is a great option as a streamer tight end and a great value in daily fantasy as well.

Speaking of tight ends and daily, the next player has a great matchup against a division rival.
