2. Zach Ertz vs. New York Giants

If the Chiefs are a feel good story of the young season, the Giants are the polar opposite. This week the Eagles get the division rival Giants in Philadelphia.

Carson Wentz has looked improved in his second season. One of the reasons he is excelling is thanks to increased weapons including the growth from tight end Zach Ertz.

Ertz is second on the team in targets with 18, two behind Alshon Jeffrey. He is the team’s leading receiver with 13 receptions for 190 yards. The two are having a connection this season and playing well.

They get the New York Giants this week who have surrendered a touchdown to a tight end in back to back weeks. Both Jason Witten and Eric Ebron found the end zone and had great games against the Giants. Some of this has to be due to the Giants impressive front four and pass rush. One way Wentz can negate that is quick throws, especially over the middle, to the big bodied tight end.

Ertz has had quality games against New York in the past. Last year he caught all of his targets and went for over 110 yards combined in the two games.

With the top tier tight ends hurt or in tough matchups, Ertz and the rest of these tight ends could win you the week. Ertz, unlike the other two, is probably already taken in your league but he will also represent good value on daily leagues.

The final matchup to take advantage of is a defense that has struggled. This week, at home, they get a great matchup and will be worth the risk.
