8. Andre Holmes tip drill

You remember the tip drills you’d do in your back or at little league practice? Well it’s safe to say that they translate over to the highest level of football. Down 3-0 in the first half, a Tyrod Taylor pass deflected off of Zay Jones and right into the hands of teammate Andre Holmes for the touchdown.

It’s not how Bills offensive coordinator Rick Dennison drew it up before the game, but some luck never hurts. Any offense is good offense. Holmes was at the right place at the right time and it paid off for the Bills. But it was more than luck for the Bills today as they put together an impressive performance to beat the Broncos 26-16.

7. Jadeveon Clowney to the house

Here’s a friendly reminder that even though the Texans have struggled this season, that Jadeveon Clowney is still freakishly athletic.

The Texans were all over Tom Brady today, including this strip-sack fumble by Whitney Mercilus. He’ll get the credit for the sack and forced fumble, but it was Jadeveon Clowney who did the rest. The ball landed right in Clowney’s hands as he ran in for the 22-yard score. The former No. 1 overall pick had himself a career day, finishing with four tackles for a loss, two sacks and the touchdown.

In the end, the Patriots got the last laugh with the 36-33 win, but the Texans showed us the blueprint on how to get to the Hall-of-Fame quarterback. The Texans still have a lot to be excited about with the way that DeShaun Watson played today. Paired with this defense, there are good things to come.
