Trey Adams

OT, Washington

This is a fantastic class for offensive linemen. If Trey Adams does decide to come out, he’s going to be in the discussion for a first-round pick by many teams. The immense left tackle for the Huskies has been a mauler and he’s used his tall frame to keep his quarterback standing.

He could stand to add weight to his 6’7″ frame, but he’s off to a good start this season. The Huskies have done a great job of developing talent in the trenches and Adams could very well be the best tackle in the Pac-12.

The competition is heavy this year with so many talented line prospects and he’ll have to continue to separate himself from the rest. He’s a quick learner that was thrown into the fire early in his career.

Being able to be ready for any situation is key and Adams has mastered that ability. With the need for offensive linemen higher than ever in the NFL, they’re going to flood the market and be in high demand. Adams’ talent could make him worth a top pick.

Lamar Jackson

QB, Louisville

On one hand, Lamar Jackson threw two interceptions on Saturday. On the other, he was deadly accurate with his other throws. Jackson finished the day against Kent State 18 of 22 with two touchdowns.

He also ran for 34 yards on eight rushes and also picked up a touchdown on the ground. For Louisville, this game was about getting back in the win column after getting blown out by Clemson at home.

Perhaps the numbers weren’t as big as some were expecting for Jackson, but it was the performance that many have come to expect from him. He got his yards through the air and also some on the ground.

It really wasn’t much of a game for raising the draft stock, but there were some nice things and then some things that weren’t so nice. He’s a unique talent that is certainly going to drive plenty of discussion where his real talent is at for the next level.
