Derrick Nnadi

DT, Florida State

Despite the fact the Florida State Seminoles lost to N.C. State in their first game in a few weeks, Derrick Nnadi absolutely brought it. The star defensive linemen worked his way into a big day and lived in the backfield.

He finished the day with two and a half tackles for loss with six tackles altogether. Nnadi has made a reputation for himself for being able to wreak havoc against the opposition via stopping the run as well as a pass rush.

While the program would like to forget the game in all likelihood, this is a big board and focuses on those individual performances. There are multiple first-round talents on this defense and as they get more games under their belts this year, they’ll really take off.

Unforeseen circumstances have seemingly kept the Seminoles off the field and injuries have derailed their title hopes. Nonetheless, getting it into gear starts with big defensive performances from guys like Nnadi.

Quenton Nelson

OG, Notre Dame

The top guard on the board far and away is Quenton Nelson. Once again, Nelson had another great week as Notre Dame went on the road and took care of business in a big way against the Michigan State Spartans.

That monstrous offensive line continued to do work and Nelson really had his way blowing open holes for his running backs. Nelson is going to make a team really happy that is looking for a guard that can step in right away.

Tackles are the priority line spot when it comes to the draft, but Nelson is a special talent that could really push his name to be picked high with those tackles. Just the attitude of Notre Dame has changed this year.

That all starts with two leaders on the offensive line with Mike McGlinchey and Nelson. It’s hard to imagine to see the top guard prospect in the draft falling at all anytime soon. He’s firmly positioned himself on the big board.
