Mike McGlinchey

OT, Notre Dame

Mike McGlinchey and the Notre Dame offensive line take it upon themselves ever week to win the battle up front. It’s part of the reason that they’re 3-1 and look like a much different program compared to the one last year.

The Irish win in the trenches and that’s the reason they have seemingly dominated just about every game they have been in. Once again, McGlinchey had another strong day on the field and it allowed his quarterback to make some nice plays.

It was one of those games where the Spartans looked outmatched at every level. With the push that they got up front, the Notre Dame offense did what they were supposed to do. At the end of the day, if an offensive line is giving the quarterback all day to make decisions, they’re likely going to be successful.

McGlinchey is going to be in a race with Orlando Brown for the top offensive tackle prospect in college football. Both are hulks on the field and lead the way by physically winning their one-on-one battles.

James Washington

WR, Oklahoma State

With a golden opportunity in front of them, Oklahoma State dropped a huge game at home to TCU. With a high ranking, the Cowboys are likely to fall a little bit now as a result of the tough loss to a conference rival.

Nonetheless, James Washington had a huge performance in the loss. Once again, he was a yards machine and per average as well. He finished the day with 153 yards on six receptions, including an 86-yard touchdown.

That is an average of 25.5 yards per reception. For those that follow Washington every week, his yards per reception average is ridiculous to say the least. He makes the most out of every reception and sets his team up with great field position or a touchdown.

They might have lost the game, but the toughness of Washington was on display. His stock was helped with this performance and he is also pushing his name in the top wide receiver conversation.
