Malik Jefferson

Linebacker, Texas

The Los Angeles Rams have been tremendous this season, and it really is amazing what one season can do for a team. The Rams brought in a new head coach this offseason in 31-year old Sean McVay, and he has done wonders for Jared Goff. Goff was the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, and he struggled mightily during his rookie season last  year.

With McVay, Goff has a coach he can trust, and the whole atmosphere around the team is different. With Goff getting better under center, it is creating more opportunities for Todd Gurley, as teams are no longer stacking the box against them. With playmakers on offense in place, the team should look to bring in a dominant linebacker with their first round pick in April.

Malik Jefferson is the best linebacker that this draft class has to offer, and he would be a nice fit in Los Angeles. The Rams have the best defensive lineman in the league in Aaron Donald, so adding another playmaker to the fold is going to make their defense so much better. The Rams have been the class of the NFC West early on this season, and the future just may be brighter than expected in Los Angeles.
