Lamar Jackson

Quarterback, Louisville

The Jacksonville Jaguars actually showed up to play football this past weekend, only a week after losing a tough one against the Washington Redskins. Playing in what seems to be their annual game in London, the Jaguars blasted the Baltimore Ravens, beating their AFC foe by the score of 44-7. It was a tremendous effort by the entire team, including embattled starting quarterback, Blake Bortles.

Despite the nice effort from Bortles, it is clear the team is ready to move on from him. They have spent way too much money bringing in solid players around him, and he has just not held up his side of the bargain. Look for the Jaguars to dip into this deep quarterback pool in April, and Lamar Jackson just may be available this late in round one.

Jackson is a tremendous talent, and just does not get the kind of love he deserves. He is going to be a solid NFL player, and has the arm strength to make all the throws at the next level. He is also a great runner, and while quarterbacks with his skill set get hammered during all the pre-draft talk, look what Deshaun Watson is doing as a rookie for the Houston Texans this season.
