8. Alvin Kamara

As seen last week, the NFL International Series games in London can tend to be unpredictable, and teams can perform in ways that they normally wouldn’t.

The New Orleans Saints are one of the few teams outside of the Jacksonville Jaguars who are repeat visitors to London, and both Sean Payton and Drew Brees were at the helm when they made the first trip in 2008,

That year, the Saints defeated the then San Diego Chargers 37-32 in an epic win, and the experience of travelling overseas before will no doubt have helped their preparation for this week’s matchup.

Last week, Kamara only had two carries, but he looked great yet again, and found his way to the end zone.

Adrian Peterson, the early down back behind main man Mark Ingram, “tweaked” his knee in practice this week and missed practice on Thursday (although he returned to practice on Friday). With the Saints backfield being unpredictable, there’s a good chance Kamara’s play has led him to more involvement.

Mark Ingram will take the bulk of the carries, there’s no doubt of that as he helped the Saints achieve their first win of the season last week. However, Kamara is working his way to the top and could shift the disgruntled Peterson out of his way sooner rather than later.
