NFL Draft 2018: Updated ranking of the top 32 draft prospects entering Week 7
The Stanford Cardinal running back continues to make a huge name for himself out on the field. After tearing up Arizona State the week before for 301 yards and a school record, Bryce Love put on a big performance against Utah.
In a huge conference game on the road that saw his team win by three points, Love had a big night with 152 yards on 20 carries. He scored a big touchdown and ultimately put the team on his back in a gutsy performance.
As far as the Heisman discussion goes, it was the type of night that will make everyone take notice. It’s a year for running backs in college football and Love is right up there with the best of them each week.
He should have another chance for a big performance this week, when Stanford takes on Oregon. As they sort out the quarterback spot, a healthy dose of Love is exactly what they’re going to keep rolling with.
The LSU Tigers pulled out a win when they absolutely needed it most this past week. After dropping a game to Troy in what has been a disappointing start to the season, they managed to go on the road and defeat Florida.
It was a defensive victory for the Tigers and for Arden Key, it was a bit of a quiet day at the office once again. Of all the boom or bust talents in the upcoming draft, Key is going to be one of those players that will really define his draft stock over the next few months.
Before he got hurt, Key looked like an unstoppable talent and was a main cog in the LSU pass rush. Right now, he’s working on getting back into shape and will have the stretch run as he continues to get his legs under him.
It’s easy to let his first few games back define him, but truthfully it’s hard for anyone to miss a whole offseason and then the beginning of the season. Now that he’s got some games under his belt and the team had a nice day on Saturday, he should continue to pick it up from the one tackle he had on the day.
