2. Ken Niumatalolo

We could all only be so lucky to see the triple option in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Navy Midshipmen have taken the NCAA by storm with it and Ken Niumatalolo has propped himself up as a big coaching candidate for larger jobs because of it.

While it’s an offense that seemingly could go stale over time, Navy has had zero issue with it as they continue to have success. Niumatalolo has proven himself as a coaching during his tenure and has racked up some huge victories.

He’s even picked up some wins against some of those non-power five success stories that have gone on to bigger jobs. His time is coming to land a big time job and that job could very well be the Nebraska job.

Of all the coaching candidates out there, he’s a little more on the proven side than say some of the younger coaches that will be available. He’s not that old either but he’s managed to put together plenty of wins in seven years with his program.

Add in the fact that he’ll be able to recruit much better talent at Nebraska and there’s a chance that he’s been a gem that’s been continuously passed over. Of all the options, this one seems the safest.
