Running Backs:

LeSean McCoy, Buffalo Bills-$7,900
Adrian Peterson, Arizona Cardinals-$6,300

McCoy has had a disappointing start this season, with 279 rushing yards on 87 carries (3.2 yards per carry and zero touchdowns. But volume has not been an issue, with 27 receptions and more than 20 touches in four of five games, ahead of a promising Week 7 matchup.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in the middle of the pack in terms of fantasy points allowed to running backs so far this season. But they have allowed 5.1 yards per carry to the position over the last two games, and Adrian Peterson had 26 carries for 134 yards and two touchdowns against them last week.

Mike Tolbert is lingering as a goal-line vulture for McCoy, but “Shady” should get 20-25 touches and put up plenty of yardage at minimum.

Speaking of Peterson, he’s in a good position to repeat or even build on his surprising Week 6 performance in Week 7. The Los Angeles Rams are 29th in the league in run defense (139.5 yards per game) and they’ve allowed the most fantasy points to running backs (ESPN scoring).

I’ve been targeting the Rams’ run defense a lot in the column thus far. Peterson is also a very good value in FanDuel this week, so he’s a virtual no-brainer.
