4. David Beaty

Coaching the Kansas Jayhawks was always going to be an uphill climb for David Beaty. It was going to require a lot of patience and growth for a program that sits at the bottom of the Big 12 conference.

With a 3-28 overall record in his three years with Kansas, there might just not be enough patience to go around right now. In fact, the way his team lost to TCU in one of the worst offensive performances might be unforgivable.

It’s one thing to get blown out by a top program the way that they were, but it’s another to have a record day for the wrong reasons. There has to be signs of growth and development and right now it’s hard to see where that’s happening.

Three wins in three seasons is about as awful as it can get. It might be an uphill climb to say the least, but this is beyond bad right now. Beaty needs to at least get another win this season and hope his team shows some fight.

If the program that failed to show up against TCU last week can put up a fight and at least show some competitive spirit against Kansas State, then he might be fine. Then again, he’s going up against Bill Snyder and that could turn south in a hurry.
