6. Joe Mixon turns on the wheels

He’s just a rookie, but Bengals running back Joe Mixon is something special. We’ve already seen the second-round draft pick show off his talents through the first half of the season and that was on display today against the Colts.

Andy Dalton found Mixon on a perfect set-up screen and he took care of the rest. Mixon avoided a tackle and with good blocking was on a beeline to the end zone before being taken down by cornerback Pierre Desir. The play set up an eventual A.J. Green touchdown as the Bengals went on to sneak out a 24-23 win.

The Bengals may not be playoff contenders this season, but they’ve got a ton to be excited about with Mixon’s ability. He’s got big-play ability written all over him.

5. Big man pick-six!

Anytime a big man gets his hands on the football you know we are going to show it. Down by six points late in the fourth quarter, Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap changed the game with one play. Dunlap batted a Jacoby Brissett pass at the line of scrimmage and came away with the interception.

But it didn’t stop there. Dunlap caught the ball in stride and went 20-yards into the end zone for the touchdown. It was an incredible display of athleticism from the 6-6, 280-pound big man up front. Dunlap’s touchdown proved to be the difference as the Bengals went on to win a close 24-23 decision over the Colts.
