David Beaty – Loser

On the bright side, the Kansas Jayhawks didn’t get completely humiliated and set another record for bad offense. On the other hand, they still lost again and David Beaty’s record now moves to 3-29 for his tenure.

Kansas State took care of the Jayhawks 30-20 and now the program will not be going to a bowl game at seven losses. If he finishes three seasons with the program with only three wins to show for it, that’s going to be hard to overcome.

While this is a tough job and certainly not one that many are going to jump to take, there has to be more progress than three wins in three seasons. It shows a lack of development and honestly a step backwards.

Perhaps their best chance to get one more win on the season will come this week at home. The Jayhawks will host Baylor in a game between two of the worst in the Big 12 at the moment. If they drop this one, then their chances of losing out are pretty much locked in.

With the last potential winnable game on the schedule, Beaty should consider this week his potential last stand. Then again, the program could continue to show the ultimate patience in what will be a lengthy turnaround.
