1. Atlanta Falcons

They’ve gone from the best team in football to fighting to stay alive in their own division. The Atlanta Falcons couldn’t be more desperate for a win at this point in the season. Losers of four of their last five, things don’t get any easier when the Cowboys come into town. With their backs against the wall, the Falcons enter a must-win game to save any hopes of being in the playoffs this year.

The Falcons are a talented team but they haven’t played up to their expectations this season. Forget a Super Bowl hangover, that has nothing to do with the struggles on both sides of the ball. The offense especially has been disappointing. Where have the top offensive weapons been this season? Matt Ryan and Julio Jones have struggled to get back to their MVP performances from last year. Jones isn’t even the highest targeted receiver on the offense, which is a major problem. Steve Sarkisian has yet to fully figure out how to utilize this offense and Kyle Shanahan looks like a good because of it.

But as much as Falcons have struggled, a win turns things around. The Cowboys have played well the past couple weeks but are still a beatable team. With Ezekiel Elliott’s situation, he may not even get to suit up on Sunday. The Falcons have the home field advantage and need to take advantage of every opportunity the rest of the season.

The Saints and the Panthers are starting to come full circle and the Falcons can’t afford to drop any further in the division race. This team is too talented to be 4-4 and they need to show that.
