Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season this past week to the Auburn Tigers. It was an ugly day of football and one that shocked many people as Georgia didn’t play like the team they had been leading up to it.

Nonetheless, the former top ranked team in the country can still make the College Football Playoff. They just have to win out to do so and that’s not going to be easy at all with a date with Alabama potentially looming or a rematch with Auburn.

Now, if they do defeat Alabama in the SEC title game presuming that’s who they play, then the Bulldogs would assuredly make their way back in. Right now, they’re just on the outside looking in at the playoff picture.

Their one loss doesn’t completely doom them and there is a strong chance that one of the teams ahead of them could fall before it’s all said and done. Losing didn’t help, as it removed their safety net but they’re still alive.

They have to win the SEC to get in. While it’s difficult, they at least know the path that they need to get there. For other schools, there is a lot more uncertainty about what the committee is going to ultimately decide.
