4. Case Keenum

After being pressed into duty when Sam Bradford emerged from Week 1 with a knee injury, Keenum has performed well for the 7-2 Minnesota Vikings. He’s 5-2 as the starter, with a sixth win easy to credit to him when he came off the bench after Bradford started, while setting career-highs across the board thus far.

But Keenum is also going to be a free agent in March, and the Vikings are waiting for a reason to make the switch to a now-healthy Teddy Bridgewater before this season is over. So the one-time record-setting quarterback during his college career at Houston is sure to be plying his trade elsewhere next season, Keenum’s level of play to this point puts him in line for a decent multi-year deal somewhere next March.

Keenum surely would not be handed the starting gig by the Bills, or any other team. But he would know his role if he isn’t starting, or loses a preseason competition for the starting job, and be ready to go if needed like he has been with the Vikings this season.
