3. Cleveland Browns

The Browns had reported interest in Taylor last offseason before he restructured his contract and stayed with the Bills. Going back to that well is a possibility for Cleveland a year later, perhaps via a trade if they want to bail the Bills out before they ultimately would cut him loose.

The Browns may latch onto DeShone Kizer as their quarterback of the future. But the real prospect of a change in front office regime, if not the coaching staff led by Hue Jackson as well, would put that plan into question heading into next season. Effectively going back to square one at quarterback would not be ideal, but circumstances may dictate it.

That uncertainty over who will be the Browns quarterback next year would open the door for a possible run at Taylor, with ample salary cap space to make a significant offer if/when he is cut by the Bills.

The Browns are perpetually trying to find a quarterback, to no avail due mostly to bad draft decisions. Taylor could bring some stability and a solid track record, to go along with some upside, while not inviting whoever is in charge of the draft to make another notable mistake next April.
