4. New York Jets

The Jets have overachieved thus far in 2017 at 4-6, with Josh McCown as their starting quarterback. But the 38-year-old is an obvious stopgap, while Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg don’t look like options to take over next year.

For example, let’s go to this line from Jets quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates regarding Hackenberg possibly seeing the field this season.

"“We’re focused more on the Carolina Panthers than getting into that debate. Of course, we’ll have that conversation at the end of the season. As an organization, this is professional football. This isn’t Triple-A.”"

So the Jets are sure to be looking at quarterbacks next spring, via free agency, the draft or both.

The Jets have obviously gotten a close look at Taylor over the last few seasons, playing him as a division rival. If five games against the Jets as the Bills quarterback, including two this year, Taylor has 10 total touchdowns and a completion rate above 63 percent while averaging around 7.4 yards per attempt.

The Jets seem set to have a completely new quarterback depth chart next year. Taylor could be brought aboard as the clear No.1, or as a backup/fallback option to a highly drafted rookie.
