Week 12 of the NFL regular season offers a different scene. There are three Thanksgiving games, but no team will be wearing their Color Rush uniforms.

If you’re like me, your eyes hurt after watching the all yellow and blue uniforms last Thursday night. After a blowout by the Steelers last week, we’ve got a different slate for Thursday Night Football this week. Things are a little bit different in Week 12 because of Thanksgiving. That means there’s not one, not two, but three games on throughout the day on Thursday. We’ve got Vikings-Lions, Cowboys-Chargers, and Giants-Redskins to cap off the night.

So with this trio of games, how the heck are the Color Rush uniforms going to work out? Well, it turns out, there won’t be any this week. Some teams like the Lions will bring out throwback uniforms but no team will wear their Color Rush uniforms on Thursday. It’s one of those special circumstances each year.

The regularly scheduled Color Rush games will continue in Week 13 when the Cowboys take on the Redskins but for this week we won’t see any monochromatic uniforms on the field.

Don’t fret, because with the lack of Color Rush comes three great matchups to keep your eyes glued to the television throughout the day. All three games hold major playoff implications in both the NFC and AFC. The Vikings are looking to secure a first-round bye while other teams like the Chargers, Cowboys, and Redskins are trying to stay alive in the playoff race. A loss almost puts them out of reach with a limited amount of games remaining this season so it’s a must-win for those three.

It’s nice to have a little break from Color Rush for a week and hopefully, the slate of games don’t disappoint. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing some great matchups in Week 12.
