4. Clippers curse

So for the last few seasons, the Clippers have been cursed. While many believed the curse would go away with Chris Paul’s departure, it did not. First, it was Patrick Beverley who went down with a season ending injury. Now, the Clippers are 3-7 in their last 10 games. Furthermore, DeAndre Jordan trade talks have begun to heat up once again and Blake Griffin has associated himself with a Kardashian — well, technically a Jenner, but the point remains.

For anybody who does not know, bad things happen to athletes who associate themselves with any member of the Kardashian clan. It’s known as the ‘Kardashian curse’ and it’s struck again. Griffin, who is now dating Kendall Jenner, injured his knee during a game versus the Lakers. While many hoped for the best, they were met with unfortunate news for the Clips’ head man. Griffin will reportedly be sidelined for at least two months. While he likely won’t miss the remainder of the season, it’s still a possibility. The Clippers don’t know a lot about Griffin’s return timetable, but they do know he has a sprained MCL. There’s no structural damage, so he could be back in as few as eight weeks, best case scenario.

Meanwhile, the Clippers’ season looks to be all but over. At this point, Los Angeles should give in, trade Jordan and keep Griffin out the remainder of the season. There’s no sense in rushing Griffin back or keeping Jordan if nothing will change with or without them. Another season going by and another cursed situation for the Clippers, this time involving a Kardashian, what else is new?
