High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook, OKC vs UTA ($11,000): Westbrook has been at 49+ fantasy points in seven straight games. His second worst game of the season did come in a October meeting with the Jazz where he only picked up 36.75 fantasy points. He seems to have figured out his role in the Thunder offense, which has looked better in the last two games. The Jazz are sixth against the position in their last 15 and the return of Rudy Gobert makes their defense that much better. Still, Westbrook typically gets his numbers and is good for a double-double. ***

Kyle Lowry, TOR vs PHO ($8,700): Lowry’s salary has gone way up despite missing value against the Pacers thanks in large part to the match up. 40.2 fantasy points should be no issue for Lowry given the way he’s been playing over the last few weeks. Not only has he been great, but they’re playing the league’s worst defense on a back-to-back. *****

Damian Lillard, POR vs WAS ($9,400): The Wizards are tenth against the position in their last 15 games, but were just blown out against the Jazz. It’s tough to imagine the Wizards playing that poorly again and the Blazers have been inconsistent over the last week. I don’t have a great feel for this game with the way these two teams have been playing, but if anyone will get their numbers on either team, it’ll be Lillard. ***

High Value PG

Alec Burks, UTA at OKC ($4,500): Burks has finally seen his salary rise, but 20.8 fantasy points to hit value should not be an issue for a guy who has been over 20 fantasy points in five of his last six. The back-to-back isn’t too concerning given the blowout nature of Monday’s game against the Wizards. Burks has the hot hand off the Wizards bench and can chip in, in all categories. ****

Fred VanVleet, TOR vs PHO ($3,4000): VanVleet has been over 20 fantasy points in three of his last four. He doesn’t need much to hit value and could see increased minutes given the matchup with Phoenix. He’s been great off the bench behind Lowry, collecting 5+ assists in three straight games. He can also score and hit a couple of threes. He’s a very cheap option that should be at 20 fantasy points at worst, but I think he’ll be closer to 25. *****
