New York Jets (-1) at Denver Broncos

A team that I have liked to pick as a best bet this season has been the New York Jets. Todd Bowles deserves a statue yesterday in front of MetLife Stadium. In a year where we all though the Jets wold lose all their games, he has more than doubled Ben McAdoo’s win total so far this season. I like the Jets swallowing a point to win on the road against the Denver Broncos.

There may not be a sorrier football team in the league right now than the Broncos. They have not won a game since Week 4. Since when do the Broncos just think they can lose eight games in a row and we wouldn’t be paying attention to it? This Broncos team is worse than that 2010 embarrassment with Josh McDaniels running the team. Hopefully his next head coaching gig turns out better.

With the Jets, this team is resilient. They are playing their tails off for Bowles. New York has some dudes in the secondary and Josh McCown is playing like he did for the 2013 Chicago Bears. It’s good to be a Jets fan this year, all things considered. And there has never been a better time to get off the Broncos bandwagon. To think that organization won a Super Bowl two years ago…

New York may not be a playoff team, but they are alive in the AFC playoff picture heading into Week 14. Technically, so are the Broncos, but they have already quit on the season. Vance Joseph is almost certainly one-and-done as an NFL head coach. New York could boat race the Broncos and have Joseph out of a job as early as Monday.
