New England Patriots (-11) at Miami Dolphins

I can’t believe I’m doing this again. The last time I swallowed more than 10 points against the Miami Dolphins, it was a bad time for the Atlanta Falcons. Miami has been a dead fish out of water since October. Atlanta lives to blow leads because that’s what Atlanta does. You’re darn right I’m swallowing the 11 points and taking the evil empire New England Patriots.

Sure, the Patriots will be without tight end Rob Gronkowski because he decided to go all WWE on Tre’Davious White and got himself suspended. But whatever. These are the Patriots and they’ve got home-field advantage to play for. New England can clinch yet another AFC East crown with a win over Miami at Hard Rock Stadium.

Historically, the Patriots don’t always play their best ball in Miami. The South Floridian climate is vastly different from the New England region. So is the night life. However, we have to expect head coach Bill Belichick to his team ready to play on Sunday. He will use the Gronkowski suspension as a motivational tool for sure.

Even without Gronkowski, look for Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to filet the Dolphins with his right arm like the stinky dead fish they are. New England already clobbered Miami two weeks ago. Dolphins head coach Adam Gase won’t have had enough time to make adjustments to stopping this Patriots offense. He’s an offensive coach anyway. The Patriots could win by multiple touchdowns and probably will.
