High Salary PG

Kyrie Irving, BOS at DET ($7,900): Irving has been over 40 fantasy points in two of his last three games, thanks in large part due to his scoring. In each of those games, he’s tallied just one assist. He has the ability to do more with his playmaking, but he’s getting his fantasy numbers through his scoring numbers right now, which can be troubling if he goes cold. The Pistons are 13th against the position in their last 15 games. Irving had 30.3 fantasy points on Nov. 27 against the Pistons, where his scoring was down, but he managed nine assists. He should be at value and always has a chance to go much higher. ***

Kyle Lowry, TOR at SAC ($8,300): The Kings rank fifth against the position, but Lowry has been playing too well to worry about that ranking. Plus, the Kings are 27th in team defense. Aside from a 28.4 fantasy point misfire against the Pacers, Lowry has been over 38 fantasy points in six of his last seven games. He’s doing it all for the Raptors now and that will likely continue in Sacramento. DeRozan has struggled on the road this year, meaning Lowry could see an increase in numbers as he picks up his backcourt teammate. ****

Dennis Schroder, ATL at NY ($8,300): Schroder has taken advantage of some good matchups in the last week and a half. He’s had four games against the Nets and Magic, posting 35+ fantasy points in three of those four games. Things look good for him against the Knicks, who are ranked 26th against the position and just lost to the Chicago Bulls. Schroder’s value is mostly based on his scoring and passing ability, but he can get rebounds and chip in defensively as well. ***
